Digital Mammography: Hologic Lorad Selenia

The ACR (American College of Radiology) recommends yearly screening mammograms beginning at the age of 40. This has reduced breast cancer deaths by 35% since 1990. The ACR states that if every women 40 and older would get yearly screening mammograms, breast cancer deaths would drop 40%.

 

At our facility, we have a Hologic Selenia Digital Mammography Unit that produces state of the art imaging of the breasts. Our equipment is ACR certified and FDA inspected. These can be scheduled at your convenience or on a walk-in basis. No physician’s slip is needed. Appointments for Screening or Diagnostic exams are available.

A board-certified radiologist interprets the digital mammograms that are taken by a certified technologist. A comprehensive report is electronically generated to the referring physician in a timely fashion.

 

A general layman report will be sent to every patient explaining the results of the mammogram. Please take 15 minutes of your day to have a mammogram; this could save your life!
